RIP Tuning Master Kiyonori Imai

On January 5th the tuning world took a major hit with the passing of Kiyonori Imai, the founder of Bee
Racing. Bee*R is a shop made famous in the early 90's for their wild demo cars and innovative electronics like the infamous Rev Limiter. Two of their most famous cars have to be the Twin Charged S15 Silvia & the B324R D1 machine. The S15 was ground braking, I was lucky enough to see the car in person at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Salon. It was like looking at an old Group B rally car. The R32 was like hearing a cannon go off every time it hit the limiter, lol. What a lot of people don't know is that there were two chassis. One low power GTST (with sunroof) & one high power (no sunroof). Imai san changed the lives of so many people & he will be truly missed. His son will take the lead of the company from now on ensuring that Bee*R will continue.
