Warehouse Party with Gridlife before Final Bout 8
With Final Bout 8 being just over the horizon, teams are flooding into Chicago. After a long day of traveling the Koruworks team packed up the truck and headed over to Gridlife HQ after just arriving from their cross country travels. Leaving Sebastians S14 behind while aiming to sell and show off some of the cool merch we brought!
Getting to Gridlife HQ with just a few boxes we reunited with an old Kei car that we had stored in the shop to sell out of. The night was welcoming and exciting at the same time. From seeing old friends to meeting foreigners here just for the week. Having teams from all over the country who chose to street drive their drift cars to this event. It almost felt like they came here just for us.
Once the Gridlife doors opened the street was packed. Every direction with sounds including the slight reving of an SR, the frame rails of James Carpers Chop Top Coupe scraping the flat ground, or a friend yelling to you from accross a crowd that you haven't seen since last year. It felt UNREAL
Unfortunately the meet was much larger than expectations with an intial intent of being a smaller invite only affair turned into chaos when a police cruiser came by. Demanding everyone leave if they are parked on the street or outside. Slowly ticketing cars parked on the street and in the lots surrounding. This without a doubt caused the gathering to lose most of its crowd, however it allowed a comfortable and calm space to converse with some of the best people in community.
We can't thank Gridlife and Final Bout enough for this experience before the Summit.
